Deputies: DePaul employee stole $3,700 in SNAP benefits from client

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say a DePaul Community Services employee is facing a felony identity theft charge following an investigation into a Department of Social Services fraud referral.

Investigators say Shatoya L. Heckstall cancelled a client’s SNAP benefits card without permission, requested a new one, and used it to make unauthorized purchases totaling more than $3,700 at stores around Rochester.
