2 men arrested in connection to deadly Scenic Highway shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Micah Booker at the Cadence Apartment complex on Scenic Highway earlier this month, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Kaleb Joseph Raffety, 18, and Kobe Orlando Grandberry, 18, were taken into custody this week. Both face multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder and armed robbery.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Cadence Apartments. When officers arrived, they found Booker suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

According to arrest documents, Booker was involved in an armed robbery with Raffety, Grandberry, and others at the time of the shooting. Surveillance video showed several individuals working together to rob two victims at gunpoint…
