Two Arrested After Shooting Investigation Leads to Drug and Gun Seizure in Dallas

Two suspects connected to a recent Dallas shooting are now in custody following a coordinated surveillance and traffic stop by Dallas Police.

On October 3, 2025, around 8 a.m., officers with the Dallas Police Southeast Crime Response Team were conducting surveillance on suspects and a vehicle in the 1300 block of Murdock Road. The individuals were believed to be involved in a shooting that occurred in the 5800 block of Pineland Drive.

When the suspect vehicle left the area, the Crime Response Team—with assistance from Southeast Patrol officers—conducted a traffic stop. The occupants, 22-year-old Jonathan Lopez-Juarez and 21-year-old Melody Espinoza, were taken into custody without incident.

Both suspects were transported to Jack Evans Police Headquarters, where they each confessed, in separate interviews, to their involvement in the Pineland Drive shooting…
