Houston Horror, Homeless Man Charged with Injecting and Kidnapping Aldine High Student, Bail Set at Jaw-Dropping $150K

Last Wednesday near Aldine High School, 45-year-old Ted Fleming, a Houston man with no permanent address, was charged with kidnapping a student after injecting them with an unknown substance. School staff found the student off-balance and called Aldine ISD Police. An officer revived the unresponsive student with CPR before EMS arrived. The student said Fleming had injected them, and court records state he “intentionally and knowingly abducted” the student, according to Click2Houston.

Andy Kahan, a victim’s advocate with Crime Stoppers, told KHOU, “This is the first time I’ve seen or heard of a case where somebody was actually injected,” expressing concern about what could have happened if the kidnapping had succeeded. Fleming has 38 prior arrests, including charges ranging from deadly conduct to indecent exposure, with some serious felonies later reduced through plea deals…
