Kapolei Station Officer Injured After Altercation with Detained Woman, New Charges Filed

The incident occurred on the night of October 7, when a 48-year-old female prisoner, who was being transferred for transport, became aggressive. The confrontation led to the officer being kicked and injured.

Further details provided by the department confirmed that the unnamed woman was already detained for unrelated offenses before the incident, which led to additional charges. She now faces a charge for Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree. According to the Honolulu Police Department (Official Site)’s Post, she was subsequently returned to her cell, “without further incident.”
