CAPITAL REGION, NY (WRGB) — A Capital Region man facing federal charges, accused of attempting to entice a minor to engage in prohibited sexual activity, now has an attorney.
Andrew R. Safranko of LaMarche Safranko Law confirmed Thursday evening that he is now representing Peter Bardunias, 59, senior vice president of the Capital Region Chamber, and is expected to request an adjournment of the detention hearing scheduled for Friday.
The criminal complaint claims Bardunias was sending messages describing “violent and sadistic sexual activity” to whom he believed was a 15-year-old girl. The recipient of the messages was actually an undercover law enforcement official, according to the complaint.
