BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — An off-duty Battle Creek police officer was fired in September for pointing a gun at another officer in Livonia, Mich., according to the City of Battle Creek.
The Battle Creek Police Department was notified May 16 that the officer was arrested following an altercation at a hotel.

The officer was in Livonia for training, and while off-duty and under the influence of alcohol, pointed a gun at a fellow officer, city officials said in a statement to News Channel 3.
He was immediately placed on administrative leave. After an internal investigation, the officer was fired September 18, according to the city.
