$1.4 Million in Stolen Nikes, Milwaukee Tools Recovered in Major Sting Operation

Just … don’t do this.

Los Angeles police discovered over $1.4 million worth of allegedly stolen Nike sneakers, along with Milwaukee-brand tools and other tech equipment earlier this week in a sting operation. The LAPD posted a video online showing piles of red Swoosh boxes scattered around the house of a suspect in the case, who’s now in custody following a search warrant on Oct. 6.

LAPD Arrested a Suspect

“During the operation, detectives recovered an estimated $1,460,000 in stolen train cargo, including Nike shoes, Milwaukee tools, and electronic equipment,” the LAPD wrote in a caption on Instagram. “The suspect, 41-year-old Alejandro Aguilar-Espinoza, a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested without incident. Detectives responded to his residences after receiving information indicating the presence of stolen cargo.”
