Myrtle Beach area roadway closed for hours after deadly crash, rescue crews say

A driver has died after crashing into a utility pole in the Myrtle Beach area early Saturday morning.

The crash happened on Forestbrook Road near Sugar Mill Loop about midnight, according to an email from Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
