NEWARK, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man in connection with a late-night robbery that occurred outside a Newark convenience store over the weekend.
According to investigators, troopers were dispatched to the Royal Farms located at 457 Stanton Christiana Road on October 4, 2025, at approximately 11:50 p.m., following a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they learned that a woman had been sitting outside the store when a man allegedly approached her, assaulted her, and stole her belongings before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police later identified the suspect as 45-year-old Tony Hammond of Wilmington. Investigators determined that Hammond was known to the victim, and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest…
