Oneida Nation building new community cannery on reservation

ONEIDA, Wis. — A new Oneida Community Cannery is being built on the Oneida Nation Reservation, west of Green Bay.

The nearly 11,000-square-foot facility is expected to open next summer. It will offer state-of-the-art food preparation and preservation equipment. It will also feature a learning kitchen to educate the tribal community about their roots and the healing power of food. Tribal members will be able to bring their products for canning, drying and processing.
