Jackson, Miss.| The Jackson State team volleyball turned in a complete performance in front of its home crowd Friday evening, sweeping Alabama State 3–0 (25–20, 25–23, 25–19) inside the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.
Jackson State (4–11, 3–2 SWAC) was sharp on both sides of the ball, hitting .312 as a team while holding the visiting Hornets to a .110 attack percentage. Jackson State finished with 45 kills, 41 assists, and six team blocks — all while committing just one ball-handling error in the match.
Jayden James led the attack once again with 14 kills, three service aces, and eight digs for a match-high, notching her 1,000th career kill.
