ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A local healer was killed on the streets of Albuquerque Thursday night, cutting short what could have been a long and promising career. 28-year-old Alec Montoya, a nurse at University of New Mexico Hospital, had recently graduated from the University.
Montoya was crossing the street Thursday night on Lomas and Stanford near UNM hospital when police say 42-year-old Brian Boyce hit Montoya with his car.
Montoya graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and he had just started his career at UNM Hospital…
