Coburg, OR – A burglary east of Coburg was stopped early Thursday morning after Lane County Sheriff’s deputies and residents reportedly interrupted the crime in progress. The suspect, identified as a 27-year-old Albany man, was allegedly armed but surrendered without incident.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy located a suspicious vehicle around 7 a.m. on October 9 in the 33300 block of Selby Way, just east of Coburg. The deputy reportedly observed firearms inside the vehicle. At the same time, nearby residents reported a man walking through rural properties.
