Take a Step to End Hunger and Homelessness in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA — ALIVE!’s 44th Annual StepALIVE! Walkathon returns on Sunday, October 19 with the goal of raising $100,000 to support Alexandria families in need. With a new starting point at George Washington Middle School and two scenic new walking routes through Old Town (5 miles) and Del Ray (5k), this year’s StepALIVE! is a celebration of the neighborhoods, businesses, and congregations that power ALIVE!’s mission.

Schedule:

  • 12:00 PM – Onsite Registration & T-Shirt Pick-Up
  • 2:00 PM – Walk Kickoff
  • 2:30 PM – Post-Walk Celebration

Registration Fees:

  • $25 Individual Walker ($30 onsite)
  • $10 Children Ages 6–13
  • Free for Children Under 6

Online registration is open until Saturday, October 18 at midnight. Miss the deadline? No problem—onsite registration is available until October 19.

Each month, ALIVE! supports more than 20,000 Alexandrians with essential services including groceries, housing stabilization, and emergency financial assistance.
