Grandview Health marked its 10th anniversary on Friday, Oct. 10, celebrating a decade of enhancing healthcare quality and expanding services for Birmingham area residents. Originally known as Trinity Medical Center, Grandview Medical Center relocated to the 280 corridor in 2015, providing easy access for residents in Shelby and Jefferson counties and spurring economic development.
Since its opening, Grandview Health has experienced significant growth, including expansions in women’s services, cardiology, and the emergency department. The Grandview Cancer Center opened in 2018, and in 2023, Grandview Physicians Plaza II and the Trussville Freestanding Emergency Department were established to further patient care opportunities.
Over the past 10 years, Grandview has made more than $131 million in capital investments, contributing to job creation, expanded healthcare access, and tax contributions. The hospital has provided over $1.7 billion in salary and benefits to its team members and contributed more than $370 million in taxes to support local infrastructure and civic priorities.
