GAINESVILLE, Fla. — One Community Family Resource Center / Food Is Medicine Program is proud to announce a major community food relief initiative that will bring thousands of pounds of food to families in East Gainesville and the surrounding area. A semi truck filled with 40,000 pounds of donated food and essential supplies is being shipped from the Bishop’s Central Storehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah, to help combat hunger and food insecurity in one of Gainesville’s most underserved regions.
