BLACKSTONE – The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office (AGO) secured a court order that requires a Blackstone company to allow the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) access to its property to monitor for illegal dumping.
The injunction comes as part of ongoing litigation that alleges violations of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, the Massachusetts Clean Waters Act, the State Environmental Code, and the Massachusetts Solid Waste Disposal Act.
The AGO sued Marchand LLC d/b/a Marchand Septic, Marchand Septic Service, Marchand Environmental, and Smart Rentals; 25 Elm Street LLC; and their owners Michael L. Marchand and Michael Marchand in 2024 to halt illegal dumping on its property in Blackstone.
