Fans take “Big Game Train” to Dallas for Red River Rivalry

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — It’s that time of year again! OU will battle against Texas in the Red River Rivalry, and fans got an early start Friday morning to get down to Dallas. They rode the Heartland Flyer Amtrak Train, that’s been dubbed the “Big Game Train” for this weekend’s game.

Riding the “Big Game Train” to Texas is a tradition families have done for years, and they said there’s no other way to start the weekend than surrounded by Sooner fans.

“This is our 20th year…our 4th year on the Big Game Train! It’s awesome, the atmosphere, the people on the train, you don’t have to deal with the traffic to Dallas. The only way is to take the train,” one fan said before he got on the train…
