DALLAS (KDAF) — A new study has revealed the states where drivers are most likely to fatally crash when fleeing from police.
The research, conducted by Michael Kelly Personal Injury Lawyers, analyzed the latest fatal crash data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), examining how many fatal crashes each state recorded in 2023, and what percentage of those were because of a police pursuit.
In ninth is Texas, with 1.91% of fatal crashes due to a police pursuit. With a massive 3,936 total fatal crashes recorded, the highest of any state, 75 of those were as a result of a police chase, also the highest raw figure of any state…
