JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Temperatures are warming into the low 80s this afternoon, right where they are expected to be for a mid-October day. These are ideal conditions for enjoying homecoming at Jackson State University. Overnight, temperatures will cool into the lower to mid-50s before warming back into the mid-80s in the afternoon. Clear skies are expected to prevail not only through the weekend, but into the upcoming work week as well.
Although minimal rain chances will remain consistent into next week, temperatures will change quite a bit. Afternoon highs will warm into the low 90s for a couple of days next week, with cooler weather returning into the weekend. This is also when our next chances for rain will arrive, with stray showers moving in for the end of the week…
