Maumelle Police Department mourns the loss of officer Christopher Stroud

MAUMELLE, Ark. — A veteran officer of the Maumelle Police Department, Christopher Michael Stroud, has died after a battle with cancer, the department announced Saturday.

Stroud served the city for more than 26 years, concluding his career as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Maumelle High School.

Stroud began his service with the department in 1999, initially working as a Jailer/Dispatcher before becoming a certified police officer. His career included time in the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division before his 14-year tenure as an SRO.
