Suspect fires at Rockwall officer during investigation

ROCKWALL, Texas — A Rockwall police officer was shot at by a suspect during an investigation on Monday night, according to the Rockwall Police Department. The incident occurred around 9:22 p.m. in the 2500 block of Wagonwheel Drive.Harold Jones, a 49-year-old resident, had called police believing two individuals were in his attic. Upon the officer’s arrival, Jones, who was outside near a parked vehicle, shouted and fired multiple rounds from a handgun at the officer.
