Dozens pack Greenfield Park for first local “Walk for 1 in 100” event to raise awareness for congenital heart disease

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) — Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the number one birth defect and affects about 40,000 babies in the United States each year or one child every 15 minutes.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, our city held its first “Walk for 1 in 100” event to raise research funds and awareness about something that impacts 2.4 million people in the country.
