Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office using victim-centered approach to combat increasing domestic violence calls

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office says domestic violence is the number one call it gets.

Deputies responded to more than 500 domestic violence calls last year alone, and the office is on pace for even more this year.
