Suspect in deadly North Bethesda shooting arrested in North Carolina

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — One suspect in connection with a deadly North Bethesda shooting was arrested in North Carolina on Wednesday, the Montgomery County Department of Police detailed.

Police said 18-year-old Joshua Carter was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Fayetteville, N.C., without incident.

He was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of armed robbery for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of 29-year-old Akwalabeng Fontava.
