Fort Wayne takes world stage at ParaVolley World Cup, hosting athletes from across the globe

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – 20 teams from 15 different countries have landed in Fort Wayne for the World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup.

The competition will take place at Turnstone Center’s Plassman Athletic Center from October 12 to 18. The week of games is a pathway for athletes preparing for the 2028 LA Paralympic Games.

The WPV Sitting Volleyball World Cup is hosted every two years. This is the first time that the competition will be held in the United States. In 2023, it was held in Cairo, Egypt. This will be the first world-ranking event hosted in Allen County and Fort Wayne…
