A violent road rage incident last night on the North Freeway has left one man hospitalized after an encounter turned into a shooting. According to Click2Houston, the incident transpired near the North Main entrance ramp around 11:50 p.m. amidst traffic congestion caused by an earlier auto pedestrian accident.
Police reports indicate that an individual grew frustrated with the vehicle ahead for reportedly insufficient pace on the roadway. The irritated driver exited his vehicle to confront the driver in front, which escalated as he began assaulting the car. During the altercation, the driver inside the car drew a firearm and discharged it once, striking the man, who was then taken to the hospital in stable condition. “The driver was cooperating with the investigation and had a license to carry a weapon,” as per a report by Click2Houston.
