Balloon Fiesta reaches penultimate day with full slate of festivities

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A mass ascension appears to be off the table Saturday morning as the 53rd annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta reaches its penultimate day.

While organizers seem to have ruled out green flag, pilots were still able to have a static display.

The second Saturday is always one of the biggest days of Balloon Fiesta and there is a full slate of events for the day. There are still scheduled events for skydiving, balloon glows, fireworks, remote control balloons and more. You can expect to see a lot of your favorite balloons take to the sky – weather permitting, of course.

You can check out our full coverage of the previous days on our Balloon Fiesta page…
