First Alert: Flash flood watch issued as showers continue throughout Arizona

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Another round of rain is passing through our state, now remnants of Tropical Storm Raymond. We will continue to see passing showers and thunderstorms through Sunday afternoon.

When it comes to rainfall amounts, we saw about half an inch of rain again at the airport. The hardest hit areas overnight were in the East Valley, places like Gilbert and Mesa received over 2 inches of rainfall. Expect to see another humid day and temperatures below average again today. Our average high this time of year is 92; we will see a high of 85 this afternoon.

There will still be a chance of rain in the forecast on Monday, but by Tuesday, drier air moves in, and we are watching an area of low pressure in the Northwest…
