WESTERLO, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A car crashed into the front porch of a home in Westerlo on Saturday night. The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said the 30-year-old driver was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at a home off of Route 32. When deputies got there, there found the driver trapped in the car. The driver was then extricated by the Westerlo Fire Department.
During the investigation, deputies found that the car left the road and hit a tree, causing the engine to be torn out. The car then hit the front porch of the home.

No one inside the home was injured, said the Sheriff’s Office. The crash is still under investigation.
