I’m convinced that the seasonal flavors of autumn are the best of the entire year, and that may actually be the most true at your local coffee shop. Birmingham’s baristas are offering some of the best seasonal beverages right now! So, whether you’re team pumpkin, maple, cinnamon, pear, or something entirely different, I promise you’ll find something to love in this list of fall coffee drinks in Birmingham!
- Baba Java‘s Pumpkin Pie latte is fall in a cup. With their syrup made in-house, they guarantee real pumpkin is in this drink, along with their blend of pie spices. Even if you think you don’t like pumpkin spice drinks, you should try this one; it has been known to convert some previous pumpkin coffee haters.
- Cala Coffee‘s Butter Believe It brown butter capp sounds deceptively simple. Espresso, milk, and brown butter combine to make a drink that is so much more complex and satisfying than you’d think a three-ingredient drink could be.
- Daysol Coffee Lab‘s Banana Bread Latte is the coffee drink you probably never would have thought of, but it works! Just think of it like eating banana bread while drinking coffee, but all of those flavors are combined into one drink.
- Domestique Coffee‘s Hocus Pocus combines fruity, spicy, and herbal flavors in a way I’ve never had before. With a housemade spiced sage-pear syrup that compliments their espresso perfectly, this drink will have you wishing you’d ordered a larger size.
- Grounds has one of the most intriguing fall drinks I’ve ever seen. The Big Fig Energy is a shaken espresso drink with fig and sesame. It’s so creative and so festive! (Figs really should get more love, no?)
- Maple Avenue Coffee House‘s Maple Pancake Latte combines maple, vanilla, and spiced brown sugar for a comforting, cozy, perfectly autumnal treat. Why eat your pancakes when you can drink them instead?
- ‘s Smokey Bandit is a latte made with salty & spicy chocolate. The extra flavors added to their chocolate make this like no mocha you’ve had before, and that’s a great thing!
- Whammy Coffee‘s Granny Smith might sound a bit odd, but it totally works! This mixture of cold brew coffee, half and half, and spiced apple syrup is a really refreshing take on the apple flavor we all know and love this time of year.
So BMC readers, which drink are you most excited about?
