‘Book Fest Jr.’ looks to engage kids with reading

CROZET, Va. (WVIR) – The new ‘Crozet Book Fest Jr.’ is launches later this month and is looking to get kids engaged in reading, learning, and imagination.

“We’re teaching kids that books matter,” said Jennifer Bryeton, co-founder of CharlottesvilleFamily. “Especially in this day and age, there’s a lot of competition from the digital world, and I think recognizing the importance of literature and thought leaders, imagination builders is really, really important.”

The festival for young readers is an extension of the Crozet Book Festival, offering kids and their families a day of story times, crafts, children’s book author meet-and-greets, and more…
