24-year-old liquor store owner in Wisconsin arrested after officers find drugs, weapons in business

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 24-year-old liquor store owner in Wisconsin was arrested after an inspection led officers to find illegal drugs inside the business on October 8.

Suspect sought in disturbance at Neenah McDonald’s after ‘substantial’ fight

The Madison Police Department reported that officers assisted the Division of Alcoholic Beverages with a liquor license inspection at 1:31 p.m. at a store on Bassett Street. Officers say they found a ‘sizable’ amount of drugs inside the business.

A further investigation into the business led officers to seize additional weapons and other assets, with 24-year-old business owner Jacob McRoberts of Madison arrested.

Court records show that McRoberts was charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent – over 2,500 to 10,000 grams of THC
  • Possession with intent – over 500 grams of psilocin (hallucinogens)
  • Maintaining a drug trafficking place
