BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — A Baltimore Department of Transportation employee who was arrested and jailed for an attempted carjacking and second-degree assault received about $2,000 in paid leave while they were incarcerated, according to the latest Office of the Inspector General (OIG) report.
The unidentified employee was arrested and placed in jail in June 2024 on six counts related to the attempted carjacking.
According to the OIG report, the employee’s supervisor entered around 103 hours of sick leave for the employee over a period of the next month. That sick leave led to about $2,000 in paid leave for the employee who was jailed…
