CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Alceen Ford-Megget’s journey away from domestic violence began 40 years ago when her second husband woke her from sleep and played Russian Roulette with a .45 Magnum.
“I grabbed some clothes and took off up the street to this bar, called my sister, and she came and picked me up,” Ford-Megget recalled.
