Fast-growing Clovis neighborhood is getting a 12-acre park. Here’s what’s included

Construction will begin next summer on a 12-acre park and recharge basin in the Loma Vista area of Clovis.

Located at the intersection of Barstow and Agua Dulce avenues, Agua Vista Park will feature an adaptive playground, overlook areas, a pedestrian bridge, trails, a recharge basin — which is critical for replenishing groundwater for the Loma Vista area — along with various park amenities, according to the city’s approved resolution.

A design map shows that the eastern portion of the park will be occupied by a 6.5-acre triangular recharge basin that extends to the confluence of the Enterprise Canal and Dog Creek. At the northeast corner of the basin, a pedestrian bridge will connect the Enterprise Trail and the Dog Creek Trail…
