When I purchased my home 22 years ago the gate operation was much different

Twenty-two years ago when my husband and I moved into our home in the Village of Woodbury we were delighted to know we were being partially protected by a gated community program that allowed us to come and go at will and yet have visitors push a red button where a “live person” would answer the call and direct the caller to an address or in the case of the manned gates the gate keeper would give the visitor a piece of paper with directions on how to get to where they were going. That program went to the wayside when employees were cut. We have gate keepers who just let anyone in and the gates are being broken on an average of once a month by who knows who. We have expensive cameras hopefully catching these disrespectful people. With ALL the talk about how much more to spend on the gate…..
