Caddo Correctional overcrowding problem continues to worsen

SHREVEPORT, La. – The inmate population at Caddo Correctional Center continues to climb. As of Monday morning, the jail’s census stood at 1,561 inmates — 61 more than the maximum number allowed by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal.

The figure marks the highest inmate count ever reported by KTBS and underscores the ongoing overcrowding issue at the parish facility.
