(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance on Sunday, Oct. 12, that escalated to a shooting in which one woman was injured, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD stated that around 8:30 p.m., officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call when a second related call came in reporting a shooting. When officers arrived at the location in the 2200 Block of Monterey Road, near Hancock Expressway and South Academy Boulevard, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The suspect had run from the scene and has not been located.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries, which were serious but not life-threatening. Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit took over the investigation and are developing suspect information…
