Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) homicide unit has launched a full-scale investigation following a shooting on Beatties Ford Road that left a man dead yesterday evening. The incident, which police treated as an assault with a deadly weapon, was reported at approximately 7:07 p.m. in the 5009 block of Beatties Ford Road. Officers who arrived at the scene found a male victim with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead on the spot by MEDIC, as reported by CMPD’s official newsroom.
Detective Barnett is leading the charge in this ongoing investigation, where Crime Scene Search units have already combed the area to collect physical evidence.
