OHIO — A suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and car theft in Dayton was arrested Friday after police tracked him to a Costco parking lot.
Kettering police were pursuing a stolen vehicle when the suspect, later identified as Gene Blatchford, reportedly lost control of the car near Wilmington Pike and Whipp Road. A witness later notified authorities that the vehicle had entered the Costco lot.
Police located Blatchford, the stolen vehicle, and a firearm in separate areas of the parking lot. He was taken into custody by Dayton police and faces several felony charges related to the earlier shooting…
