HOMER, Mich. (WOOD) — A technical problem led to every property owner in the village of Homer getting a notice that they had not paid their taxes, Calhoun County says.
Officials say the letters were sent in error and that people who paid their 2025 property taxes can ignore them.
“We understand that receiving this type of notice can be concerning,” Calhoun County Treasurer Melinda Weaver said in a Monday statement. “We want to assure residents that this was a clerical error, and we are taking immediate steps to correct the records and issue accurate information.”…
