Service dogs earn their degrees in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. — It was a moving scene at the UDS Service Dog graduation — proud trainers, wagging tails and joyful reunions.

The Class of 2025 — consisting of six service dogs, four facility dogs, one breeding female and an owner-trained client — celebrated years of hard work and dedication.

UDS dogs train for over two years under the supervision of professionals and volunteers alike. Early on, they learn foundational skills. Later, they’re taught how to assist individuals with mobility impairments, autism or PTSD…
