According to the city council agenda, the hearing is to determine whether or not Phat Tuesday Sports Bar, LLC, is a public nuisance.
City documents name multiple reasons why the bar’s license should be revoked:
- On three dates in 2025, alcohol was sold after 2 a.m. and/or on Sunday, which violates state law and ABC regulations. An ABC citation was issued in August.
- Marijuana was sold on “multiple dates” between February 2022 and August 2025.
- 274 calls for service were made between January 2022 and July 2025, including shootings, assaults, and large fights.
- Mobile police executed a search warrant at the bar on Aug. 14, 2025, where they found a handgun and arrested the owner for certain persons forbidden.
- Gambling machines were seized by police during operations, including in April 2022.
If it is found that the bar is a public notice, the bar’s business license could be revoked.
