MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — There’s new video released to the public in the April mass shooting on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.
In response to a Freedom of Information Act request from ABC15 seeking all previously unreleased dashcam and body-worn camera footage, the Myrtle Beach Police Dept. (MBPD) released a 30-second clip from a patrol car dashcam that was further away from the scene of the shooting than footage previously released.
Body-worn camera footage is not subject to FOIA, though MBPD policies and procedures outline that it’s at the department’s discretion whether or not to release the video to the public…
