The 70-year-old yellow cab driver who crashed into a lamp post at the corner of W42nd Street and 12th Avenue last week has died, police said.
According to the NYPD, the man — whose identity has not yet been released — succumbed to his injuries after being transported in critical condition to Mount Sinai Morningside.
The crash occurred around 2:27pm on Thursday, when the westbound taxi driver reportedly suffered a medical episode and lost control of his vehicle.
