Mosquito fogging planned for Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Mosquito fogging operations are set to take place in Escambia County.

According to a release, the Mosquito Control Division will be operating on Monday, Oct. 13, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Spray areas include:

#31A: Beulah

  • North: West Nine Mile Road
  • South: Hurst Hammock Road
  • East: Mobile Highway
  • West: Western Highway

#32 East: Beulah

  • North: Frank Reeder Road
  • South: Mobile Highway
  • East: Eleven Mile Creek
  • West: Beulah Road

#33A North Bellview

  • North: Interstate 10
  • South: Longleaf Drive
  • East: Wymart Road
  • West: Eleven Mile Creek

Surveillance is performed both before and after fogging missions in order to make sure they are necessary in the area. Dry ice-baited light traps, landing rate counts, and service requests received from the public inform the MCD of when the fogging is needed…
