Plea talks continue for woman charged in Louisiana girls’ abduction

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The woman who was charged in connection to the abduction of two Louisiana girls, which ended with one of them deceased in Mississippi, appeared in court on October 13, 2025.

Victoria Cox appeared in court for a pre-trial conference. According to the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office, plea negotiations with Cox are ongoing. Officials said she has until the end of October 2025 to decide if she wants to take a plea deal.

Cox’s trial has been scheduled for December 8, 2025.
