Humble Animal Shelter saves baby deer after found with open fracture near elementary school

Humble Animal Shelter staff members started their day early Monday, taking care of a baby deer that was found in a ditch near an elementary school.

In a video posted on Facebook around 11:30 a.m., a baby deer could be seen laying in an Humble Animal Shelter vehicle as staff member details their injuries — an open fracture on the left rear leg, meaning bone went through the skin.
